Oh, and he mentioned other countries as targets before, eg. those which are engaged in Afghanistan. IMO such comments are rather made to fuel the hate of fundies who live in those countries, but aren´t neccessarily Al-Qaeda (evil spelling ) members.

Doesn't he sound like a drunk sitting at the end of the bar 15 minutes before closing time, going on and on about everyone in his life who has injured him? He probably said all of this only because he was angry at the bartender's refusal to serve him anymore.
