BAGHDAD, Iraq - Saddam Hussein (news - web sites)'s government is believed to have buried as many as 300,000 opponents in 263 mass graves that dot the Iraqi landscape, the top human rights official in the U.S.-led civilian administration said Saturday.

Sandy Hodgkinson said the administration has been sending forensic teams to investigate those grave sites reported to U.S. officials. So far, the existence of about 40 graves has been confirmed.

"We have found mass graves with women and children with bullet holes in their heads," she said.

President Bush (news - web sites) has referred to Iraqi mass graves frequently in recent months, saying they provide evidence that the war to drive Saddam from power was justified.

I read this news also. It also said, that Americans have come across with people, who have actually escaped these massgraves after being buried alive. Now that's trauma for you right there!

    300 000.. imagine that.

Ok, can anyone doubt the fact that it is a GOOD thing to get rid of a guy who was building another Auschwitz?

THe only thing we should now wonder is why we didn't do this earlier. And who is the next dictator that has blood on his hands like this. I can think of few.

And I guess putting the weakened leader ot of power and killing thousands more will bring back the 300,000 to life and solve the problem.

And according to the leftists, at least 500 000 children was killed by the sanctions, especially because US bombed the sewer treatment plants and water works in '91. I don't know which side to believe, but the world is surely an evil place.

Hans Blix said in his 2 hour solo speach on Swedish radio this summer that he supported the idea that UN should intervene to stop any dictatorship killing it's own people. If the new World order means that a dictator should not feel safe in his own country, he really supported that idea.

The problem is that it will never be like that. Any of the 5 permanent SC members will only support an intervention if the downfall of the dictator is beneficial to their national interests. In Iraq's case, it was in the interest of US, and in other cases it might be in the sole interest of France or Russia but against the interest of US.

OK, well millions of people have died in the famine conditions that are the daily reality of North Korea. Also another dictatorship...

So now that America has such a hard on for twatting evil murderous dictatorships, I expect we'll see a US led humanitarian invasion to liberate the poor NK peoples!

                    No?

                    Thought not!

While this sh*t maybe pull the eyes over, shall we say, less discerning people like Slowwhand, the majority of people on this forum are not fooled by this crap...
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

The reason we wouldn't attack North Korea is because that'd be a lot more DIFFICULT than Iraq or Afghanistan. We fix things in order by effort/result.
