Well, I hated both Moulin Rouge and Chicago. Except that I to drive my wife home, I would have walked out of both.

Gangs of New York is a very good movie. I just saw it on DVD for the second time. Daniel Day Lewis's performance is one of the best performances by an actor I have ever seen. He makes the movie.

I think, however, that Road to Perdition was last year's best film.

I still haven't seen all of Road to Perdition. I seen parts of it on HBO. It seemed kind of slow. but I do like some slow movies like the Unforgiven. So I will give it a chance. I just have to watch it from the beginning.

And I also love gangs of new york. Though some of it seems implausible. But still an excellent flick.

I've seen 'Chicago' and 'Road to Perdition'. I'd EASILY pick 'Chicago' as the better flick. No contest really.

I haven't seen 'Gangs of New York' yet though, but it'd have to be amazing to beat 'Chicago'.

Nothing worse than a stupid movie where people break out singing and dancing.

          Why?

Reminds me of children's television shows.

Not to mention the songs they sing in movies are usually simply terrible, add in the fact that they've got non-professionals doing the singing sometimes, and it's like watching a train wreck.

How many musicals have you seen? Either on the big screen of the theater? Why do I have a feeling you've never seen a Broadway play?

Been to Phantom of the Opera and Cats, that's it.

That's what I get for having a dad that's an Andrew Lloyd Webber fan.

                  lighting doesn't make a movie.
                  musicals :"

You obviously know nothing about movies. Seriously. NOTHING. Run back to your mommy.

musical suck. There is no denying that.

Even when the music is by a halfway decent band. I seen Tommy. I like The Who. But I wasn't impressed by Tommy.

crap, crap, and even more crap.

I definately won't like a movie that has music in it that I don't like.

Face it, it is a chick flick. Even if it has no romance in it.

A movie is only a chick flick if the overwhelming majority of those who like it are women. The demo distribution for Chicago is pretty even.

I seriously doubt the demos are that even. All those men must be gay

Perhaps the new movie that just came out to stores "Chained Sinners: Medieval Fleshpots" would be more to your liking, Dissident...

I only saw the last ten minutes or so of that stupid movie, but that was enough for me. There was this kid with an incredibly strong New Yaaaaaaaaaww-aw-aw-aww-awk accent singing the wrapup of the plot. Then they started doing what looked like a thirties version of the electric slide. I didn't know whether to laugh or vomit. It was one of the most painfully stupid things I've ever witnessed.
