  • Starless

    Sundown, dazzling day
    Gold through my eyes
    But my eyes turned within
    Only see
    Starless and bible black

    Ice blue silver sky
    Fades into grey
To a grey hope that oh years to be
    Starless and bible black

    Old friend, charity
    Cruel, twisted smile
    And the smile signals emptiness
    For me
    Starless and bible black

Indeed, I did not remember it correctly

I had a feeling it was Starless and Bible Black. I love that album (Red). It was my first King Crimson album. It scared the hell out of some of my friends, and I was immediately addicted.

It's actually fun to write stuff like that!
Just made up two short ones:

            Black
            All is black
            There is no light
            For me

            and another:

            Pain
            All the time
            Pain
            It never stops
            Pain
            I will end it
            Today

              I went to Krakow
              I ment it was Kharkov

              But no! It wasn't
              So I returned to Danzig
              Where Vaterland is

              Am I any good?

                    Somethinglike this maybe.

                    Love, the unconquered in battle
Love, you who descend upon riches
And watch the night through on a girl's soft cheek
                    You roam over the sea
And among the homes of men in the wilds
Neither can any immortal escape you
Nor any man whose life lasts for a day
