Jessica Simpson comes home for show

She might not know tuna from chicken. Or chicken from buffalo.
But pop princess Jessica Simpson, a Richardson native, knows a thing about performing, which she'll do Wednesday at her old high school.
MTV cameras will be focused on the Pearce High School graduate, who will give a benefit concert for students only.
Ms. Simpson and her husband, singer Nick Lachey, are featured on the music network's reality series Newlyweds.
Footage shot at the concert could be featured on the show – about the couple's first year of marriage. The program has shown Ms. Simpson's struggles to understand the content of Chicken of the Sea tuna and buffalo wings.
Money raised from the $10 to $40 concert tickets will support Pearce's theater department.
Tickets went on sale to students Saturday, in an order determined by lottery to discourage camping out. And to prevent scalping, the tickets are not transferable. The name on the ticket and the student's ID must match.
