  • Las Vegas Poly mini-meet pictures

I have to call it a mini-meet as I only have 3 pictures . And there were only 2 poly members there and one poly wife.

We met at the Mandalay Bay hotel. Which the guests quickly found out was a more upscale and trendy hotel. The bottled water in their rooms costs $4.00 a bottle to drink! welcome to Vegas. You won't find prices like that in the philappines . but for my pleasure there were many scantily clad women in revealing clothing. Mandalay Bay is home to 1 or 2 trendy nightclubs and the House of Blues. There are also several bars within the casino. We had to find one that was quiet enough to hear each other. The others had live bands. Though the band at the island bar wasn't bad- they were playing a Jimi Hendrix song and wailing on the double bass. But I'm getting off track here.

I had little trouble spotting Lancer. What can I say. Poly members have a certain "look" to them. Though I wasn't 100% certain, but after a little while I was certain he was a poly member. Hey, I identified Lonestar fairly easy as well. I just have that kind of perception .

Hey I'm always here. If anyone wants to escape the fires in California and come up here, we're ready .

Anyways I only took a few pictures. They flew in and it was late. No one has the stamina and constitution I have .

The first pic is Lancer and I (dissident). Yes I know, I usually don't like posting pictures of myself. I am considerate, and want to spare my looks on everyone. Actually, I just want to prevent female posters from getting too hot and bothered looking at me.

And this last picture is of the all important beverages. We were only there about an hour. So our array of beverages isn't very impressive compared to the London poly meet pictures. What do ya expect from 2 people drinking?

I lost a lot of weight- 45 pounds. though even when I was fat, I was still skinny- if that makes sense. All my weight was in my torso for the most part.

I think it's awesome that you both dress identically, save for Lancer's darker color and cumstain (what a rowdy meet!).

The Mandalay Bay is a really nice hotel. I stayed there for the 1999-2000 and the 2000-2001 new years' days. The bathroom are very nicely done with large marble tiles and the jaccuzi bathtube was so big that both my girlfriend and myself could fit into it and we still had enough room for two more people if we wanted to.

Of course we found the size just right for two people.

Ah, finally met Lancer (he does look like a capitalist kill machine ) and Ms Lancer of course. Hi.

And thanks for ruining it for me Diss. I pictured you as some big badass mohawk desert wishkey'n' hookers personage and you look more harmless than my little cousin.

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

don't let the looks fool ya. I still am a badass mohawk desert whiskey (actually tequila) 'n hookers person. I'm just not big.

Of course I should lose the glasses. I have the money for lasik surgery, but I never get around to doing it.

And sloww, I look normal? I never thought so. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

First this from the Vegas Vacation thread...

Well, Dolores and I got to meet Dissident! It was a good time though too short. I called him a couple hours after we arrived though we were both tired. We got a couple of Sam Adams beers and talked about Las Vegas. Dissident knows his town very well, and the info we got we put to use the next day. We excused ourselves after a beer and made a general agreement to get together another night...I would call him.

                          ARRRGGGG

I tore the hotel room apart Thursday night looking for his phone #, but to no avail! Dolores went to Mama Mia, a show, which left me with some guy time, but ARRRGGG.

All is not lost as we both took a few pics. I used a regular camera and have no scanner, but Dissident used an electronic one. So, perhaps he will post those.

Dissident, thanks for the local knowledge! We filled in our forgotten items at the pharmacy (got the water/soup heater for only $9.99! Also, Dolores got a bunch of gift items for friends and family) and had a few meals in more reasonable locations. The Mandalay was nice, the pools warm, the beach wavey, but the PRICES! All the eateries were priced to break the budget, so it was good to get out and about. I guess some of the older casinos had better food deals.

I found a $3 blackjack table at the boardwalk, lost my $20, and left. We also dropped $60 in slots, but this worked out better as we did so very slowly and managed to drink $800 worth of free drinks.

Dissident, thanks! Let me know if you're coming up to Oregon or would like to visit us in our Philippine home.

                          Dolores says hi!
