Most major cities are. Rebulican politics is pretty anti city, since cities need services and regulations.

last election, Republican Sam Katz won 49% of the vote. 'experts' on tv say that he is the favourite especially after a disastrious Street administration. many think this election will divide along racial lines like it did last year with blacks voting for the black street and whites, asians, and puerto ricans voting for the white katz

Which explains why the dems are pushing voter's registration on the subways.

You need to start electing Republican mayors so you don't keep pushing clowns like Rendell on the rest of the state.

Voter registration lists are public record. Any con artist worth his salt would have one, but both parties go out and do voter drives, etc. One of the biggest harvesting places is naturalization ceremonies, because statistics show that initial voter registrations among newly naturalized citizens go between 2/3 and 3/4 to the party who has the Presidency.

When I voted in California in 1980, despite state laws againt politicking within 100 feet of a polling place, all of the polling place volunteers managed to find parking places near the entrance to the polling place, well within the 100 feet limit, so they could prominently display their bumper stickers with the outline of California and the big letters "REAGAN COUNTRY."
