    No Way Am I Liable

    I renewed a book out of the uni library 11 days ago. I'd had it for two three-day loans, renewing after each time.

    However, this time, the date stamped on the inside page indicated a two-week loan. It was probably an accident but hey..

    Now I've received an e-mail asking me to take it back as it is "overdue" despite the date stamped for taking it back being 29th October.

    They're getting no overdue fine money off me.

      Who..? It says blatantly on the inside cover that it is due to be returned on 29th October.

          Failing that, you could explain it to them politely. I've had similar stuff happen to me, and I often find that if you just talk to the library staff nicely they'll understand and cancel the charges.
