Great game. I spent much of my youth trying to make perpetual motion machines... atleast, when I wasn't making cat-launchers, anyways.

I loved this game back in the day.

Perpetual motion machines are quite easy in The Incredible Machine.

Played for about half an hour and got through the first 40 levels.

Not the PC speaker... I think it had soundblaster sound.

I marvel at my then-ability to construct machines which didn't look pretty or anything like the machines that the "solution" required, and usually used machine parts for wholly different purposes than was apparently required, but still got the job through, often accidentally.

Hmm. Maybe I should give it a whirl...

I loved that game so much! I got an abandonware copy of it some 2 years ago and made a small competition with a friend, who could invent tougher but working levels. Great fun.
