Thx, though it was set correctly in startup, but I tried to create the AutoChk key. Hope it works... will find out tomorow

Btw, I have the HD connected in FireWire... I can't startup my computer if I've got anything connected in USB

What is your boot sequence in the BIOS setup?

Don't remember, it's been a while since I last checked the BIOS, and can't check now... if I remember, I'll check later

I think it would be easier if you used an internal IDE hdd for Windows and the external one to walk your data.

There's several reasons why I chose an external HD... Don't want to talk about why though...

The only real reason is you want to be able to use it on a number of different computers.

I tried this, but it did as I thought it would: The timer was simply just set down to 0 seconds, which means it started right away...

I just deleted the info in the first mentioned key... hope it'll work

OT but I just did something by accident that Im trying recreate. I was moving my laptop, I may have hit a few keys or clicked the mouse a bit and when I looked back at my screen 4 of the windows had organized themselves perfectly in the corners to split the screen up 4 ways. What did I do?

Right click on the tastbar, and chose "Tile windows vertically/horizontally"

Just make sure you have all windows maximized/standard (Not minimized)
