  • Fear is the Mind killer, whereas wine is the Grease cutter...

Just finished a nice bottle of Fetzer merlot, with a cork. Don't normally invest in a corked bottlle as the twist tops are more economocal. The boxes are far below me I might add. However I once had a Swiss girl living with me, many years ago now, and one of the first things we did is go out and buy this huge 5 gallon box of red wine from United Grocers. We pretended we owned an eatery to get it...cheap. It was good wine! I was amazed. Anyway, we drank off this box for the longest time. Life was easy, together we ran my little book store during the day, and drank wine and made love at night. Anyhoo, bye and bye, the wine ran out, and then so did the lady. Catherine, thanks for the mamories.

Nice Fetzer, on sale 1/3rd off! And I didn't have to shjare it with a tramp Swiss lush.

The girl got "unusual" tatooed on her neck? Well, at least it's accurate, which is more than I can say for most kanji tats.

Well then we have something in common.

I look at 'body piercing' as a symtom of mental illness.

                  "Screw you"

Other way about, that's what makes it "imperialism".

mentos makes fresh. Anyway I've been eating spam, no really, with by wine. Cold fried spam. The wife cooked some up for dinner. The wine helped cut the grease.

                  Good wine is nice stuff.

                    Lancer:
"Kanji tats" are tatoos featuring elaborate Japanese characters. In general, the real mening of a "Kanji Tat" is absurd because it is chosen for its esthetical value and not for its meaning. Gotta love to see a girl with "Dog" tatooed on her back

I wasn't aware "Kanji" was a Chines word as well. Besides, Japanese Kanji are quite different from the Chinese characters they're from.

Yes, they're different, but still ultimately Chinese in origin. Just remember that it doesn't take much to set off a Chinese person's hatred of Japan.

I don't really know if "kanji" is a Chinese loan word or not; it's quite difficult to tell the difference between native Japanese words and Chinese loans at this point. However, the character "kan" 漢 does mean "ancient China", while "ji" 字 means "character". Make of that what you will...
