A lot of the talk about Easterbrook is that the "boss" (Eisner) can fire employees for insulting/offending him. This would be true for a privately owned company, but Disney is a public company. The shareholders own the company, not Eisner (though, due to option awards he is a very large shareholder). Eisner has the fiduciary duty to do what he thinks is best for the shareholders. He can't just fire someone for pissing him off. He has to believe firing that person is best for the shareholders. If he did not take that into consideration, then he is just another example of what is wrong with corporate governance as it is currently practiced.

What happened was that someone published expressions that crticised his boss. His boss fired his ass, from one job. The guy still has other jobs.

As far as the morality arbitration, WTF else do you think 'worship money above all else' means to jewish people? WTF do you think n***** means to a black person?

obviously bosses CAN fire u for any # of reasons. and he CAN be fired. but thats not what its about. its about should. he mouths off at different ppl everyweek, or about everyweek. he took a crack at rupert murdoch in week 5 I think it was for monopolizing and raping the tv scheduling for football in america. he takes cracks at espn from time to time.

he picks different ppl or different things. it just so happened this time he had THE WRONG OPINION. and something is deeply disconcerting about that.

About the last paragraph, no I did not think it would move you, but thanks for the opportunity to more clearly express what the guy did wrong as far as some jewish people might be concerned.

And yes, he did have the wrong opinion. Quite possibly the wrong opinion about the guy who could, and would fire his ass, unlike his previous targets.

All of this was written in Easterbrooks' Blog. This is a place where he's supposed to speak only for himself, and he has no mission to actually inform anybody.
