  • Assistance Needed w/ US Army Info

OK, so I'm looking for an order of battle for the US Army around 1964. If anyone can point me in the right direction, that'd be great

              Shi, nope, and AH, nope.

It's actually school-related research - I want to tie it into a report. I've got to take the position of Robert McNamara in 1964 and recommend a course of action WRT Vietnam. Military orders of battle and such aren't necessarily required - or even mentioned in class - but it's something I might find a way to incorporate if I get reliable info.

Try to get into the 11th Airborne. They'll become the Airmobile Test Division, and eventually the 1st Cavalry. Your enlistment should run out just as they deploy to Vietnam, ensuring that all the new guys that you haven't had time to properly train will be taking your place for the Ia Drang campaign. Good times.

                  David

Your a Sensei or Kyosa Nim or Sifu, IIRC.

                  Try this:

                  #1-Go to Dojo

                  #2-Get your nose broke

                  #3-Go to your Academic Classroom

                  #4-STATE VERY CLEARLY THE FOLLOWING:

I Put my Nose where it shouldnt have been and got it broke! Fortunately I will recover and I still have my Life. This was not the case with American Occupation in Southeast Asia

                  Now, thats just ONE OPTION...

Then you could expound how the Government Twists Politcal Gains to extort political/economic gains..

NOT THAT IT WOULD Happen nowadays mind you..

                  Peace & Good Luck!

Floyd could go to Vietnam and they could make a movie about it called Platoon.

yes, i believe the order of battle in 1964 was the following.

                              1) find the enemey
                              2) shoot at the enemy until he is dead.
                              3) at no time should you let the enemy find you, without finding him first. if you do, follow instructions in step #2, and don't let it happen again.
                              4) try not to get yourself killed.
                              5) repeat these instructions, beginning with #1
