    I'm not sure it affects it much at all.

    40+ Portable audio devices support WMA, 1 supports Apple's AAC and it's got a huge price premium, relatively poor battery life, and run-of-the-mill audio quality.

    WMA enjoys far wider support, lower costs, more features, and more marketshare.

      oh, i did speed up itunes, sorta. i shoved it to my alternate desktop (nvidia nview), so it doesn't really have to draw all of it (i just have to avoid using that second desktop).

      'course, i can't control it then, either.
