From one of my favorite books.

However, I am considering a change to Deathtongue, which was Bill the Cat's Band name.

    What do you think?

    ACK!

No, although the anagram A SALINE ORAL CAVITÉ did have something to do with that.

You have to ask on of the mods to do it.

PM a moderator asking them to change it to whatever you want it to be... If they accept they will change it, and record the change on the name change log in the community forum...

My nick is 2 letters shy of being my last name.

                  :P ACK!
I don't think the ACK! would hold the same magic for me as Deathtongue.

I needed a short name when I started using the internet back in '93.

"Agathon" fit the bill quite nicely for various reasons.

It's short and could be used as a username at my old uni which had an 8 letter restriction.

It's the name of a (mediocre) Greek Tragedian who appears in Plato's Symposium. Only fragments of his work remain. My fave:

"Even God cannot change that which has already come to pass."

It's the Greek term for "good" and the Form of the Good is the supreme reality in Platonic metaphysics.

                      It's a secret acronym.

It's not my real name - my father named his children after Civil War Generals.

                        I like Deathtongue.

Misspelling of the German word for nuclear weapons. It spawned from a family joke about things my cousin shouldn't say in the airport on his way through Germany.

I've said this before, but "Drake Tungsten" is the coolest name on Poly.

                              So do I.

                              And the ACK! would stay.

                                Good question...

Well, my nickname stems from my first email account. I was trying to register my real name (along with different spellings of it) but they were always taken and I didn't want a number after the name...so I picking German cities that I enjoyed while being stationed over there - and Wittlich worked. So from that time forward I've adopted it as my own.

EDIT: On a side note, since my nickname is a German name, it is pronounced germanicly (is that a real word?). Pronounced: "V - it - lish."
