Linux has just recently got font anti-aliasing, and all they do is blur it and call it "anti-aliasing". Once Linux gets true sub-pixel AA like MacOS X or Windows XP, give me a call.

Different versions of Windows have been received differently.
I think of Windows kind of like local govt - it's overpriced and corrupt but it does a lot of work that nobody else will do.
Even the most ardent Apple nut has to admit that later versions of Windows are an improvement over earlier versions.
I think the real flaw with Windows is that MS insist you keep paying for it, and if things go wrong we'll end up paying every time a PC gets turned on.Some cry `Allah O Akbar` in the street. And some carry Allah in their heart.
