I was going to try to take a picture of my S200, but that is too difficult. It is dark, and my flash goes off when I try to take a picture of the mirror (which in turn would show the camera).

what kind of flash cards do you use?

I probably should have stuck with sony flash cards with a sony camera. My original 8 MB of course is sony. That's the only one I have usable now.

My group at work wants to get a camera but they want one that uses those little 3" re-writable CDs. They apparently don't want one with flash because they want extreme ease of moving the files to any of our computers including those that don't have any free usb ports. Unfortunately the only camera I've seen with this storage method is a Sony camera. Does anybody know if the CDs are an effective storage solution for a camera and if so is there a decent camera (presumably non-Sony) available that uses them? Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

The mini CDs are junk. Avoid them at all costs as they are a dieing media. Flash cards are the way to go.

Kaak: Where are you man? I really want to buy this camera and the 1GB flash card. What price can you get me? If I don't hear from you soon I might give in to the urge to buy one at a local store.

The Cannon Elph S400 which you recommended. It seems the best all around camera for my needs. I'm hoping to get it, a 1 GB memory flash card, and a carrying case.

I've shoped around both in my town and on the net and so far the best price I've found is royalcamera.com which sells the camera only (minus flash card and case) for $358 plus shipping. I also want to make sure the Camera has a US warrenty and that it is wired to be plugged into US electrical outlets.

What sort of deals can you work for me and can I use my Dell Prefered account to buy it?

The best i can do on the camera is $369.10 w/ no tax and free shipping. Sandisk 1GB CF card would be $224.96 and the PSC-50 Soft Leather Case for $9.86

Sold. The other place wanted $12.50 for shipping plus tax so Dell is the cheapest. As an added benifet I like Dell's service and warrenty. PM me and tell me what info you need and I can pay with my debt card or with my Dell Prefered account.

Is there a number I can reach you at work and then we can do it directly or would you prefer e-mail?

Also will I need to buy any cables to connect the camera to the computer or does it come with one?
