I found out a few months ago that my girlfriend was pregnant when she was rushed into hospital with pains in her stomach. They thought it was an ectopic pregnancy, but thankfully it was just a sist in the fallopian tube. We only found out she was pregnant about 3 hours earlier so a lot of things were rushing around our heads.
At first we both were 100% on an abortion as I am at university and still have 2 years left, and she hasn't started her career yet.
About 2 months passed and we were both seeing a counseller as it was getting harder and harder to get the abortion due to the fact we were both undecided. We hadn't told her parents or mine yet so we were both going through hell on our own.
The time finally came where she told me she wanted to keep the child and I had to accept the decision. At first I was pretty gutted as I knew life was going to get a million times harder.
We told both our parents, hers were delighted as they get on with me really well. My parents were very dissapointed and shocked as I knew they would be. Eventually they are coming to terms with it all and are helping us out loads by finding information we need.
The baby is due on April 7th and I'm so excited. Just thought I'd share the news with any old friends that still post on this site.
