  • Linda Ronstadt

I played her greatest hits CD (the first one, from 1976) for six hours straight. Is that strange?

I was surprised to learn that "You're No Good" and "Heatwave" are both covers; I've never heard anyone else sing them.

is that the one that goes: you're no good, you're no good, you're not good, baby, you're no good?

I'm trying to think of who did that song before. It's an R&B song I think.

Every song that Ms. Ronstadt put in the American pop top-40 is a cover, iirc.

                  "Different Drum"

I used to have such a crush on Linda Ronstadt.

From the looks of her recently, she may could put a crush on you.

I only know as much about her because my mom was a huge fan so we were treated to hours of Linda growing up.

Incidentally, I threw in for Silver Bells and Golden Needles. I'm suprised no one chose Desperado.

I liked her country period better.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

                          Linda Ronstadt.

As I don´t know her older Songs,
I´d go for her Duet with Aaron Neville:
                          "Don´t know much"

Pity, you didn´t include it in the Poll,
but I suspect it hadn´t been out in 76
(came out later, second half of the 80s AFAIK)
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "I am the Harbinger of Death. I arrive on winds of blessed air. Air that you no longer deserve."
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "He has fallen in battle and I must take him to the Einherjar in Valhalla"

                            None of her Mexican songs?
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
                            Once again...

                              And she's Mexican.
