  • Help: Need belgium chocolate!

Recently in France my gf and I tasted the excellent Côte d'Or chocolate and we bought about 8 bars.
Now all of them have been eaten up and we need more.
But nowhere I can find this chocolate.
Its called "Côte d'Or - Amandes Caramélisées avec une pointe de sel". This is the best chocolate I have ever eaten so far!! I dont want to taste the other I just want this one. I have found some sites with belgian chocolate but none sold this special type.

Anyone from Belgium or France knows an online shop where to order it (delivery to Europe, Austria)?

I guess SuperU, Atac or Flunch dont have an online shop? I have not found one
I've also checked monoprix but nothing.

I WANT COTE D'OR AMANDES CARAMELISEES AVEC UNE POINTE DE SEL

You know, I'm only a few hours away from Belgium by Eurostar. Pay for a ticket there and back and I'll buy you the damn chocolate and airmail it to Austria for ya.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

Thanx starchild but I really dont want to bother anyone (I also wouldnt pay for a ticket since the chocolate is expensive enough ).
The thing is that there are online shops, but they just dont have this type available.

Btw, have you tried it already? Its awesome chocolat!

panag: no it isnt available here

I go shopping about once every week. Id know if it was available. And no in Germany because if in Germany then in Austria as well (generally).

anyway if you have chance to try them: go for it!!
Amandes caramelisees avec une pointe de sel!!! (nouveau is written on the box as well)

We also tried some Nestle chocolate that had the same box layout but it did not taste anywhere near as good (ok it was without "une pointe de sel").

Because it's slave chocolate, that's why. African cocao is harvested using child-slaves.

Personally I prefer Cote d'Or's flaky truffles. You can buy them here. or just about anywhere else you google, though most in the states.

Personally, my favourite are Valrhona. IMHO these are the best chocolate money can buy. Sadly it's not (IIRC) fair trade, which would make them perfect, and is what I use when making chocolates, but for sheer quality, it's unbeatable.

But chocolate just doesn't taste right if the cacao beans haven't been drenched in the blood and sweat of childslaves

Try Green and Black's. That is both fairtrade and fantastic. Their dark chocolate is one of the best I have tasted, and works really well into truffles.

Could be wrong here, but wasn't cote d'or taken over by the Swiss a couple of years ago?

                            Nestle should be boycotted.
