they have a great chance of going all the way...

      Prior -- Wood -- Zambrano -- Clement

with four pitchers like that, especially the top 3, look for the Cubs to do good things.

Also, the Cubs have probably the deepest bench. Good pitching traditionally beats good hitting. Look out Atlanta!
To us, it is the BEAST.

          Yaaay! Go Cubs!

I hope the Twins do well. They deserve it, considering all the crap over contraction...

            Help Adam Smith Get Laid

When I lived in Chicago Cindy Kowaleski said she would sleep with me when the Cubs won the penant or hell froze over, which ever came first. I hear she's still pretty good looking even at 40+. Do ya think....?

            GO CUBS!!!

Maybe you should contact her to remind her of that promise...

But anyway, congrats to Chicago and the Cubbies. For as long as I can remember, my grandparents always would have the Cubs game on when I visited with my folks in the summertime--even during the years that they sucked. Somehow they knew that the Cubs would eventually come around.

                    Predictions:

                    NL:
                    Cubs-Braves
                    Marlins-Giants

                    AL:
                    Twins-Yankees
                    Red Sox-A's

Red Sox beat the Yanks and the Braves beat the Giants and you have Boston vs an ex-Boston team, the Braves .

Of course though it will really end up being the Red Sox v. the Cubs in Game 7 of the World Series .

Ya never know. Maybe the Cubs are the Angels of this year as some people predicted at the beginning of the year.

For them to be the Angels, they need better hitting .

The Angels formula was amazing hitting and above average pitching. The Cubs are amazing pitching and average hitting. I'm not sure they get into the WS this year, but if they can get some decent hitting soon (if Choi and Hill are as good as advertised) they will definetly be favorites.

All it takes is for a few good players to get hot at the right time. The Angels hitters were hot all year. The Cubs just need some October heat.
