Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

I assume you're going for a BSCS? Well, you know what BS stands for, and CS is cat ****. It's a price of admission in the industry now, unless you're an old dinosaur, but you won't learn anything of particular value to you or your future employers in 98% of the programs out there.

Most of what you're going to learn of any real value will be learned on your own after you graduate. It's a good idea to list out the languages and technologies people are hiring for, and the salary ranges, and keep looking for what you see the most hits. The job markets are always a bit behind the curve, so you have to follow trends over time to see what you really need to learn and what you can skip.

Thats' because the turnover rate is high, and Oracle is a pain in the ass to support. People just don't realize how easy it is to migrate....

Also, due to the pricing structure for Oracle and the target enterprise size, you're in one of the easiest areas to outsource, especially when you consider the inflated TCO for Oracle based systems. Reality is burning through Ellison's hype, and that's one main reason why Oracle stock has taken such a beating (and Ellison's fortune with it).

It IS in demand now, but you're hitching yourself to a falling star, not a rising one.
