When outside of Catalunya, the following phrase can be quite useful: "Joder, hombre!". (Pronunciation: kho\'der, \'ombre). Depending on the intonation, it can mean whatever you want. Simply "joder" will also do.

Is it true they have like 4 official languages in Spain?

Castilian, Aragonese, Catalanian, and... Basque? Portuguese?

No Portuguese. Galician maybe. And Aragonese is apparently a dead language.

                    Basque, Gallegan, Catalan and Castellano.

Nobody cares what you speak in Barcelona most of the time. I didn't catch any crap for speaking Castellano there. Half the people I met were from places like Madrid and Valencia. Knowing Catalan will impress the natives; otherwise Spanish is enough.

I love the city and I think that it'll be a great place to live when I'm studying there next semester.

Also, visit the Columbus Memorial, the Picasso Museums, the Sagrada Familia, Gothic Quarter and Montejuc.
If you look around and think everyone else is an *******, you're the *******.

He as already very old when I visited Barcelona 5 years ago and I think he is nearing rapidly the End of his lifespan (AFAIK he has already gotten older than most of his relatives in other zos around the world).

Visit Sagrada Familia (as someone already mentioned )

Walk along the Ramblas (and visit Mercat St. Josep the roofed Market in one Building at the Ramblas).

Visit the Aquarium at the harbor of the City...

Oh yes, and as someone other mentiond, don´t waste yur time in Internet Cafes,
there is so much around to see in Barcelona, it would realy be a waste of precious time

                        It's spelled both ways, IIRC.
