  • I don't like old people

    there I said it.

    [rant]

Basically anyone over 40 is old. I have trouble relating to them. None of them want to talk to me. You can't get any respect for them. They always call you things like young man. Like I'm a child or something. They always tell you how to do your job. My intelligence easily surpasses their old, feeble minds- I don't need them telling me how to do my job.

I bet when you are old, you will then dislike young people.

Like I'm a vegetable or something. They always tell you new ways of doing your job. My experience easily surpasses their young, immature minds- I don't need them telling me how to do my job.

We'll see how civil this continues before I follow my initial instinct to close it.

actually I should refine my thread to people over 55.

But I had to throw in the over 40 to piss more people off.

But senior citizens are weird. They like live in another world. You can't seem to have a normal conversation with them.

Yeah its funny how all those old folks seem to enjoy (or maybe they dont, hard to tell) having the same conversations over and over again.

I like older people a hell of a lot more than people younger than me (31).

I work around a lot of supposedly smart college students, who for the most part strike me as dull, vacuous, and superficial. Whereas older folks that I see at the pub (50+), you can talk just about anything and come away with knowledge to boot.

                    that's the thing.

when I go to pubs, I can't strike up any conversations with older folks. I relate more easily to young people. That's why I don't go to the classier pubs anymore. I just stick to ones young people go to.

At least an old person, when asked who Colin Powell is, doesn't reply " the vice-president or something."

The people I see around are little more than over-indulged, cosmetically-altered Ambercrombie Zombies who have about as much depth as a sheet of paper.

I don't mind old folks ranting about their 401Ks or golf rounds cuz I might at least draw some advice from it.

too ture. I am young, but I do agree that most of us are a little shallow. Old people can be infuriating at times...but they do have experinence, which imo is pretty priceless. Listen to their inane ramblings and then hopefully we will learn not to make the same mistakes they did
