If you go to Spain, I hope you like ham.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Before moving to Russia (and potentially the Ukraine) for my uni, trips to Germany (to see a friend at Bonn uni), Turkey (to see some of his friends) and Australia (to see another friend at Brisbane uni) are almost for definite.

Boshko: Thailand is well worth the visit. I spent six weeks there and I still didn't feel like I'd seen everything; there was just that many ancient ruins, temples, war sights, forests, and parks. Not to meantion the food, the people, and the great deals on Silk & Jewlery.
Yeah that's what I've heard. I've run into so many people that've either been there or are planning to go there. About how expensive is it? Still have my college loans looming...

I'm kicking around the notion of going to Belize early next year... There or Costa Rica...

Probably going to Conneticuttt next month.

Should be going to Vegas too, but I think I have a convention up in SF.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

It's a great time of year to go to Chicago.

I have two trips that I've been toying with. The first is a Munich, Berlin, Poland, St. Petersburg, Moscow trip. The second is an East Asia trip hitting Japan, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.

Both would be 3 or 4 week trips. Either is a lot to do in 3 or 4 weeks, especially since I like to take it easy while travelling. Maybe I'll cut out some areas/cities.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I went back in 1998 when the Asian economic crisis was still depressing local currencies so it was very cheap. Still five years is a long time so prices have likely changed. As I recall out side of Bangkock my five friends and I could eat a site down meal for around $6-$8 for all of us. Imported liquor cost more of course but the prices were still pretty good if you bought the locally made versions of western brands; for instance a 22 oz heiniken bottle would go for something like $0.30 and the local beer could be bought for under $0.20 per 22 oz bottle.

Barcelona is also a seafood city. I'd like to come back to the states without my arteries being too clogged

I can confirm Barcelona being a seafood city. I hate seafood, and struggled to find things I wanted to eat.

Next place I'd like to visit... probably NZ. But that probably won't happen for a few years, considering the expense and the fact that I figure I'd need to take 2 weeks off (min) to do it without feeling rushed.

My gf and I are pondering going to a guest ranch out in Colorado or Wyoming for our next vacation.
