I've gotten it as well in one of my Yahoo! e-mail accounts. Microsoft does *not* send patches and whatnot via e-mail.

you don't need virus software to get rid of the thing unless you were dumb enough to open that email

I imagine that if Microsoft did e-mail updates, the updates would at least have correct grammar and sound even vaguely professional. Certainly they wouldn't be in Engrish like what Shi quoted...
