      Is someone tabulating team scores?

I'm guessing Reismark... since he's the Commish and all.

This was mainly a boring football weekend, wasn't it?

There were only FOUR games where the final winning margin was within 7 (SF-Stl, Was-Atl, Car-TB, Oak-Cin). Stop with the blowouts

              Hell no!

Not if you were watching the Atlanta-Washington game. What a nail biter that was. Started out 17-0 in favor of the Falcons, then the 'Skins had a great surge in the second half. Captured the lead. Atlanta had the making of a comeback in the 4th quarter but couldn't pull it off.

What a great game that was. Oh yea, and GO SKINS!!!

But alas, my poor Lions lost.... I suppose I'm glad I'm stuck in MD and couldn't watch the game, score doesn't look pretty. I'm still confident we'll have a good year this year. Though compared to the last 2 years, damn near anything could be considered a good year. Steve, Joey, and Charles, come on fellas, lets get a good team!

damn, I wish I knew Philly was going to suck like that.

I would have started Brady in place of Gannon.

                WTF is wrong with Oakland!!

Well, I looked at the team standings and I'm going "wtf?"

10.88 points? 9.67 points? What happened to good, old won-loss records? What's with these "points"? Is it some sort of formula? Is anybody checking to see if the "formula" is correctly applied towards all teams, games, etc?

I don't bet on football, but if I went 12-4 one week and my bookie said "well, according to this formula you actually went 8-8" I'd be pissed off. Hell, I'd be threatening to send some of MY "boys" over to have a little "discussion" that might or might not involve kneecaps.

What the hell is going on here and why isn't a simple won-loss record good enough?

That gives me an idea for another pool we can create in our Lombardi Leaque in addition to the Suicide and Executioner pools: "The Dead Pool". At the beginning of the season, everyone picks a team they feel will be the last team to win a game. Tiebreakers would be by points (i.e. how many total points the selected Dead Pool team will surrender before winning a game).

Wow. Start of the 4th quarter and the Bears are only down by four. Could it be that the Bears are gonna do the Packers a favor tonight?

Yea, thats amazing. Even more amazing than the Babe Ruth homer. If this record stands for more than a couple years this prediction will deffinately be remembered as history.
