unsanescan: was that the main reason?
charity1cor132003: i wanted a christian school, i also wanted to stay in state
unsanescan: cool
unsanescan: i'm an athiest myself
charity1cor132003: no
charity1cor132003: what
charity1cor132003: i don't understand that
charity1cor132003: how can you look at this world and say there is no God
unsanescan: it's easy lol
charity1cor132003: things don't happen by chance
charity1cor132003: our bodys are to complex
unsanescan: not everything that happens has an ultimate purpose though either
charity1cor132003: yeah it does
charity1cor132003: everything that happens happens for a reason
charity1cor132003: you may not know it right away
unsanescan: i disagree
unsanescan: i think most of the things that happens are reactions to choices
charity1cor132003: God gives us the choice to make that decision
unsanescan: but those decisions take the purpose out of it then
charity1cor132003: and if we choose the wrong one then we suffer the consequences of that choice
charity1cor132003: no it doesn't
unsanescan: that is reaction not purpose
charity1cor132003: God ultimately knows what decision we will make
unsanescan: then there isn't any real choices
charity1cor132003: yeah it is
unsanescan: how is it a choice if you already know what will happen?
charity1cor132003: i serve a risen savior
charity1cor132003: i don't know what will happen
charity1cor132003: God does
unsanescan: i respect your religion
charity1cor132003: by the way i don't have a religion
charity1cor132003: i have a relationship
unsanescan: well your spiritual beliefs
charity1cor132003: there is a big difference
unsanescan: yea
charity1cor132003: what in the world made you decide to be an athiest
unsanescan: i looked at all of the reasons people offered why there was a god and they didn't seem to add up
charity1cor132003: so tell me
unsanescan: after years of going to a pentacoastal church i realized that i didn't believe in it at all
charity1cor132003: oh pentacostal huh
unsanescan: yea
unsanescan: three times a week every week till i was around 14
charity1cor132003: oh
unsanescan: yea
charity1cor132003: tell me why you don't think things add up
charity1cor132003: why don't you believe there is a God
unsanescan: i haven't ever felt, or seen, or had demonstrated to me anything that would make me believe there is one
charity1cor132003: i am not here to judge you, i am here to love on you, and show you God's love thru me
charity1cor132003: ok well take the wind for example
charity1cor132003: how do you know it exists
unsanescan: i can feel it against my skin, and if i put up a flag, like airports do i can see it's effect on the flag
charity1cor132003: or the air you breath, if you can't see it, how do you know it is there
unsanescan: if i walk into a freezer i can see it
charity1cor132003: ok
charity1cor132003: so God is sort of like that, just b/c you may not be able to see him, doesn't mean he isn't there
unsanescan: i said i can see those things
charity1cor132003: just look around you at the beautiful area we live in, in the stillness you can feel his presence
charity1cor132003: just b/c you see a flag moving doesn't mean anythign
unsanescan: lol yes it does
charity1cor132003: it takes some faith to believe that that is the wind moving it
charity1cor132003: no
unsanescan: no it doesn't take faith to believe the wind is moving it
unsanescan: faith is believing in things that can't be demonstrated in any way at all
unsanescan: the flag moving is demonstration of the power of the wind
unsanescan: also if you live in a dusty area or in the fall with the leaves you can see the wind's pick those things up
charity1cor132003: hang on one sec
unsanescan: ok
charity1cor132003: i wanted a christian school, i also wanted to stay in state
