  • The return of a comic strip legend

That's right people. (Especially Tuberski.) Opus is coming back to the Sunday funnies, starting late November!

Yeah, but is he bringing back only Opus, or all of Bloom County?

And would it still be as good?

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

I remeber when he was cartoonist at the Daily Texan {paper for the University of Texas at Austin) One year of his strip was a war waged by the Eglish Department to get more funding at the expense of the Bussiness department, culminating in the great sieg of the Bussness Economics Building.

I'm not sure this is a good thing.

            Anyway, Sparky's a funnier penguin.

I can't imagine it wouldn't be funny. Lord knows he won't have a lack of political absurdities to mock, let alone the trademark surrealism and warmth that made the strip so successful in the first place.

Dunno if Bill, Steve, Milquetoast, Binkley & co. will be back or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if they straggle on into the story eventually.

I though his student strip, The Acadmeia Waltz was funnier than his later professional Bloom County.

I thought Bill Watterson was supposed to create a new strip after C&H but I don't think he ever did.
