My advice: Put them back in the stream. All the food they can want, and a perfectly suited habitat.

2 cloves garlic (chopped)
2 tablespoons butter
Parsley, for garnish
Your "pets"

In a skillet at butter and melt. Add garlic and brown. Add your "pets" and cook uncovered until lightly brown. Serve with parsley

If you change that water for chlorinated tap water, they'll probably all be dead within a week.

Lazarus: I'm using water from the stream.

As for the snails.... why not?

They were the first thing I caught......

After 2 hours in the stream all I had gotten was 2 crawfish(which I let go), a small fish, the salamander and the **** scared out of me as a snake popped out and ate another fish I was about to catch.

Actually, this fish would probably eat the snail .
The salamander might make the transition.

How do you know that? The snail may be ex-special forces

My guess is that a snail would be an ex-tank driver.
