I can't remember, mostly just poking you in the head, pinching your adams apple and holding your nose.

I never got into Finch. Saw them live at Reading - a bit of a disappointment really. There were some new bands there I heard great things about, such as British Sea Power, Manitoba, Stellastarr, Sparta, Interpol and a few others. Didn't get to see most of those though.

Sparta are good if you like that kind of thing. Like the bland part of At the drive-in. All the more exciting experimental stuff went into The Mars Volta. Dookie would like Sparta more.

I saw some of Mars Volta's performance at Lowlands... It was weird. I also have some mp3's by them. I need to listen to more to give a fair judgment, but so far, it's not really the kind of stuff I like. But then, I didn't really like ATDI either.

You probably wouldn't like them then.

I think their album is the best thing I've heard in a long time.

The songs I heard were cut that city, inertiatic esp, err, something with lanterns, and two weird, short almost-instrumentals. I don't know how typical they are, but none of them really impressed me. *shrugs* I need to check out Sparta though, haven't heard anything by them so far.

In a proper venue (one with walls) Finch are utterly awe-inspiring.
