You are obviously forgetting 1960 and 1979.

I'm sure the shade of Bill Buckner will rise again.

You KNOW this is nothing on the Braves of the 90s. 11 straight division titles and only ONE World Series win to show for it?

And let it be noted that I love Kim Byung-Hyun, if it wasn't for him they wouldn't show every Red Sox game on TV repeatedly for about a week over here
He's not bad at throwing balls either...

We get to see the Mariners and Yankees regularly thanks to Ichiro and Matsui. The Dodgers are on every time Nomo pitches. We might get to see the Giants if Shinjo was any good, but he's not.

11 straight division titles in the era of Free Agency is a helluva feat... especially since there are 3 rounds of playoffs to win the damn thing, unlike previous eras... like 1986, 1975, or 1967 (or was it 68?)

Better 11 Division winning years with only 1 ring than 72 straight years and NO World Series wins to show for it, imho. But then, I'm not a Red Sox fan, accustomed to losing the Big Game.

The patriots set a precedent - teams from new england CAN take it all.

I mean, think about it Imran: this thread exists to celebrate the thrashing of the Yankees in a regular season game.

Every thrashing of the Yankees should be celebrated .

Well, the Boston Red Sox have more WS wins than the Braves, if you really want to get technical.

But then, I'm not a Red Sox fan, accustomed to losing the Big Game.

You're a Braves fan. Losing the 'Big Game' should be second nature to you .

5-3, Sox advantage. But what would you prefer to have: 5 wins, all of them 80+ years ago, or 3 wins, one of which occurred in your lifetime?

Well you ain't dead yet and there are plenty of years of baseball ahead . And besides, the Sox do have better players in their history.

Then again, it's all secondary to making sure the Yankees don't win .

Which you (and the Braves) haven't been too successful at, have y'all?

Well it's kinda hard seeing as all MY favorite teams are in the National League and haven't really had a crack at the Yankees (except for that pitiful showing in 2000) .

So why are you on the Sox bandwagon? Or are you just playing Devils advocate?
