Cheaper, maybe. But CRT's are disappearing. I still suggest going with an LCD. The advantages are DEFINATELY worth whatever extra you pay.Comment

21 in. CRT's cost about $330, while 21 in. LCD's cost about $1,300.
19 in. CRT's cost about #150, while 21 in. LCD's cost about $550.
Check out newegg.com for prices.
Cheap LCD's are good for form factor on desks (and look l337), but CRT's still have better performance in the price and tech areas.cIV list: cheats

CRTs have better performance, and they cost a lot less.
On the other hand, though, LCDs take up much less space.
