Was just looking at Bigcharts and they had an AP report:

A locomotive broke loose on Disneyland's (DIS) Big Thunder Mountain Railroad roller coaster Friday, killing a man and injuring 10 others, officials said, according to the Associated Press. The roller coaster takes amusement park visitors on a twisting, turning ride aboard what is supposed to be a runaway train in the Old West. Riders zoom through mineshafts and caverns, past falling rocks and tumbling waterfalls. The ride is one of Disney's newer roller coasters, having opened in 1979, and is computer-operated, said Joe Aguirre, a park spokesman.

That would REALLY suck. Imagine being on a roller coaster like the one they describe and suddenly ... have the thing not be attached anymore.

Oh well. Thank Goodness I had enough Disney to last a lifetime when I was young... Hopefully this doesn't happen again (or at least not too soon), though.
