If I recall it is about 0.003 cents per animal

and yes it is because of the kyoto agreement

And before any of you say "Only 3 cents?!", the sheep farm at the end of my road (on the bank of a large river nonetheless) has 5000 sheep on it. So thats.... a whopping 150 Monopoly Money (Or around 10p in real money)
