First 14th ASOS woman completes Army jump school

POPE AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. (ACCNS) - "Awesome. Simply awesome!" exclaimed an airman recounting her first jump from an aircraft while attending the Army's jump school at Fort Benning, Ga.

Senior Airman Monica Caulder's, 14th Air Support Operations Squadron, first jump in July was quickly followed by four more while at the Army's airborne school allowing her to earn her jump wings. She is the first female in the 55-year history of the 14th ASOS to complete the jump school.

The 24-year-old Fayetteville native, said she was starting to get bored with her job as an information manager while stationed at Keesler AFB, Miss. "I was looking to try something different. Something more challenging. But I also wanted to stay in the information managers career field," she said.

In summation: "I was bored being a data entry tech, so I thought I'd do jump school for a change of pace. But I still want to do data entry."

Just FYI Psyops always deals with enemy forces or hostile civialians. You can't do that from the rear you have to be in the front.

MtG: 37F, I.E. Psyops, are not a combat arms but it is impossible for us to do our jobs without being at the front. That means we are not REMFs.
