  • Anyone else seen the Return of the King preview?

You can get it on the Two Towers DVD or by other....

Well, I thought it looks pretty good. There is a fantastic sequence of a Fell Beast smashing into a catapult on the walls of Minas Tirith and the battle of the Pelennor Fields looks mind blowing.

    What did you think?

    I saw it. Omfg... incredible.

You have the DVD, I assume, so you heard the part about how Helm's Deep had ~ 10,000 orcs, whereas Pelennor Fields will have 200,000.

No - I don't have a DVD player. When I was in the UK a friend bought it and we watched the preview six times in a row.

      Can't wait.

The movies suck because there's no actual violence in them. No blood == no violence.

****ing incredible is all I can say.

200,000 at Pelennor Fields? I never realized from the books it was that BIG.

Pelennor Fields had 200k? I thought it was more like 100k and the Gates of Mordor, 50k.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

They'll just computer generate a few hundred thousand based upon a dozen actors.

BTW the trailer is downloading as we speak.

Well, they are very good movies..do they need any more fuss than that? If you appriciate good film making, that is enough reason.
