Hell, without the fraud, there would have been no need for a recount.
If there had been a recount and fraud removed in many of the Democratic Stong Holds like Chicago... the odds are, Gore would have lost the popular vote

The truth of the matter is, in my mind, neither candidates showed themselves worthy of being President. Winning was more important to both of them than what the American people actually wanted. Would that I could, I should have seen both thrown into the Potomic and we hold a new election with new candidates.
****. That's TWICE this week alone I've agree with Che. That's *exactly* how I felt after the election.

That only shows you're getting smarter.

Yeah. It scares me that I agree with him on this point, too.

Very possibly true. It's very sad that vote fraud is such a major part of our system, but when there's that much money at stake, it's gonna attract a criminal element.

It was my understanding that in all states where the absentee ballots would not have been able to alter the outcome of the election for that state (because the margin between the leading candidate and the next candidate in the results of the rests of the ballots was more than the total of absentee ballots) there was no effort to count the absentee ballots. Given how slim the popular vote edge Gore enjoyed in 2000 was, can we really be sure that Gore won the popular vote? How much of a lead in the popular vote did Gore have among ballots counted anyway?

You might want to bring out one of the more unproven theories, like minorities were prevented from voting because of future felonies.

Or you might just want to go the "Electoral College is a piece of ****" route, although the easy comeback to that is "But it's the law. There's not a Constitutional amendment getting rid of it (yet)."

Why can't you lot organise an election or govern yourselves properly?

It isn't hard. Perhaps we should send UN observers to the next election.

while we're at it, iraq should invade us for obviously having a tyrannical dictator that has detained thousands(or was it hundreds? ah who cares) against their will indefinitely

and being a threat to the world that can launch womds to anywhere and rain destruction and chaos upon all humanity

                              Steady on.

I'd settle for well run and transparent elections, campaign finance reform and proportional representation.

That would fix all your (and our) problems. It'd be the end of the GOP too.
