  • Your favorite guitar/bass riff/solo.

I think I used the word "riff" properly... if not (or if my example isn't a riff), let me know.

For a guitar solo, I gotta go with the old standby "Stairway to Heaven."

My favorite riff is the ascending/descending bass riff in Kool and the Gang's "Jungle Boogie."

    Oh, MAN!
Stairway to Heaven is one of 3 Classic Rock songs I'm so tired of, being joined by Freebird and Hotel Damned California.
    But, I digress.

To answer your question, "Europa", by Santana.
The most beautiful Classic Rock guitar work done.

I love that solo in the version of "Sympathy for the Devil" in Get Yer Ya Ya's Out.

I still love hearing Eddie Van Halen's solo on the song before you really got me. I think it's called Explosion. I never tire of that one

It's not my absolute favorite(I can't really decide that), but I have Call Me The Breeze's intro stuck in my head so I'm gonna go with that.

I like the John Entwhistle's bass solo in the Who's "The Real Me".

I like Jeff Beck's guitar work in a lot of things, but "Goodbye Porkpie Hat" in particular.

"Green Onions" by Booker T and the MGs is one of the coolest tunes ever recorded, though more minimalist than anything listed here.
