An expedition in the Arctic found a crashed alien spaceship with some cybernetic organisms in it (borg). They pulled them out of the ice, and they later revived and infected the team. They took the ship, launched into space, and flew away. The Enterprise went after them.

The signal wasn't going to get to the borg for 100 years I think - so that the fleet they sent would get to Earth 200 years from the time the signal was sent - which is when the borg actually arived in TNG.

The ship got modified into a borg ship looking thingy.

They managed to kill all the borg, but the borg got a signal out with Earth's coordinates. The borg ship had been looking for races to assimilate.

Ah! Sounds cool, will try to watch ASAP. It would have been cool if at some point, they would settle the "living machines" thing in The Motion Picture, because its blatently obvious that its the Borg!!!

        260 years.
At the Vegas Hilton, there is a timeline on Star Trek. If I remember right, Archer is about a 140 year older then Kirk. Kirk is how many years old than Picard? 120 or so? We met the Borg in season 1 or 2 of STNG?

I'm working from memory here, ok? I said "about 200 years". Give me a break.

                Borg!!

                WTF!!

No wonder I haven't seen any season 2 episodes.

I watched most of the season 1 episodes. I really like the concept of pre-TOS star trek. And I do like most of the actors. But the writing as usual sucks for the most part. I was hoping it wouldn't be that advanced. I wanted a more primitive star ship.

But I do like the fact they have cooks and such. That is a plus. Makes for a little more realistic star ship.

I like the fact that the effects of First Contact did not go unoticed. And the fact that you never see the cook (ahem neelix) is awesome!

What Enterprise did for me most nights I tried to watch it before giving it up:

Star Trek needs a complete housecleaning of its production & writing staff, especially the duo of Rick Berman & Brannon Braga, before it'll be capable of making any sort of creative recovery.

Well the opening shows look better

Tupaul (however you spell it) gets a new uniform

Some new military special forces joins the crew

                      Lots of fighting

Correct me if i'm wrong but weren't the borg encountered because Q threw the Enterprise D out of federation space?
Which side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, Chief. We are evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction wherever we go. I'm surprised you didn't know that. --Saul Tigh

Kindof. Q did introduce the borg, but because the borg went back in time to stop first contact their remain were found and those borg contacted the Hive about earth by Picards time. Which brings us to an interesting point about Q: since he exists in all times at the same time, is outside of time somewhat akin to the Prophets, he would know this and could have actually introduced Picard to the Borg just as they were heading for earth after thier message from the 22nd century, showing Q to be somewhat benvolent by warnign the Feds, even if he wants to make it look like it was his fault to create a challenge for humans.

But then again, whithout Q the borg would never have gone back in time. Uh oh! This is what we in nerdoworld call a temporal paradox!!!

                            Muh hah aha haahahaaa!!!!

I actually enjoyed DS9, and offer no apologies. But Enterprise… ugh, yuck and blah. Having barbie on Voyager was bad enough, using a Vulcan for the sexual tension is terrible.
