          Personal materialism:
          1. Can money can buy happiness?
Up to a point. A copy of Civ beats none, but what am I going to do with 1,000 copies?

          2. Is the primary purpose of clothing aesthetic?
          No

          3. Does life end at death? (no afterlife)
          Yes

          4. Are salary raises preferable to more vacation?
Can't I pick shorter working hours?

          5. Is a new thing inherently better than an identical old one?
First of all, two things cannot be identical. Secondly, even if I assume it is possible, the old thing would not be the identical to the new thing anyway due to weathering, wear and tear, etc.

          Social materialism:
          6. Does economic progress lead to social progress?
          After awhile

          7. Should the needs of other life be subservient to human needs?
          Why? What makes humans superior?

          8. Should Church and State be seperate?
          Yes.

          9. Should humans settle the oceans and outer space?
          Yes.

          10. Would you prefer an engineer over an architect to plan a city?
Neither. I prefer an urban planner.

          And one unscored question:
How has CIV influenced your attitudes on the above issues?
          Not a thing.

Score: Due to errors in the questions, scores cannot be tabulated.

The fact that we're stronger. In inter-species relationships, since no other logical code of law exists, mght makes right.

Not sure about these two questions... could someone tell me what they mean?

use the Grid to find out where ya are.

I score 20 on Personal Materialism, 80 on Social Materialism.
                  1. In a capitalist society... yes... although I don't have the resources to prove it.
                  2. Depends on climate.
                  3. Life as we know it ends at death.
                  4. Depends on many factors.
                  5. Depends on item.
                  6. Depends... during the 80's the US grew in terms of GDP, but regressed in terms of poverty, educaction, and social progress. The super-rich's accomplishments don't trickle down.
                  7. IMO, humans should strive to not exploit or destroy life... but not at the expense of our own lives.
                  8. Yes... but only if you value freedom.
                  9. Eventually, our goal should be to expand beyond our world, but we should only colonize the oceans if it is necessary.
                  10. I prefer a city planner.

Civ Question: Consciously, not at all.

Too many generalized questions for my tastes.

I de fleste civiliserede lande. Men med "vores" folkekirke integreret i staten er situationen jo en ganske anden her til lands.
