  • Anybody been affected by this Wormblaster virus?

    I Su*pOse y7ou Might b$ se...........ding me%sagEs Li)ke ThIs ^f Y*u hAv#.

I seem to be okay though - I did check out the Microsoft web site last night though when my browser started acting funny for a brief period.
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

Yes. I've helped 3 or 4 people that I personally know get it off.

(I wasn't affected, though. Vigilant failure to upgrade me OS is always a good policy. )

My mom was screwed. I was the tech savior though.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I helped this dude clean his comp just yesterday. He sure as hell got it. As it turned out, he had his system set to automatically update Windows, but every time ihe was asked to install these updates, he had just clicked "Cancel"

No -- I had the assumption that this computer virus would only target computers owned by Aussies and Finns, anyway.

I download updates as soon as they come out, so no problem here. The rest of you scum who never update, deserved it!

                              I think it can't hurt Win98, so I'm safe.
