Just want to get what I pay for.
Odd though, blabla brands are half price around here. Not more expensive and with more features than well known brands....

I don't want MP3 palyback. I burn all my CDs in wavs so I'm sure they'll play on every CD player (parties, friends, future car cd player etc)

My CD player is also my car CD player. I plug it with that cool gadget cassette.

Good for you! I always burn wavs though for reasons already said.

Not that MP3 playback isn;t good too. You can get 10 times or so the songs you'd have in wavs in an MP3 CD.
It's just a matter of preferance and what you'd want it for.

You could always change each Wav-file manually. With most wave editors this takes absolutely ages, but Nero has a built-in editor which is really fast and efficient at this kind of thing, might be worth checking out.

I've totally abandoned CDs. I use an ipod, which I can play in the car with an adapter, and I buy my music through downloads now... If I can't find them on "cheaper" places...

i've also found that sony's don't stand up to the "clumbsy polack" factor i have over here.

Don't know what clumbsy polack means but I wonder if the volume thing is the same with other brands?

Oh and I said "dirt cheap" because you're only buying it once.

i tend to drop things (clumbsy), and polack is a slur on my own ethnicity (well, 25% of it, but my last name is polish)

Yes they do. Asher, do you happen to know of a MP3 or wav normalization program that actually works? for a change? Propably not but doesn't hurt to ask

I don't know, my MP3 player normalizes automatically for me.

I'm not interested in normalization per se so much, my free MP3Gain can do that , but in programs that can actually boost MP3 volume to max allowed without distorting the sound.
