(Insert barf smile here) YUCK! Slivovic sucks! When I was in Yugoslavia ever Tom, ****, and Harry from every po-dunk town had his own little moon shine distillery where they made that stuff. I admite the stuff would knock your socks off and make your toes curl but it tasted exactly like I imagine turpintine would taste like. :barf:Originally posted by Sava
5 shots of Slivovice (120proof Serbian plum brandy),
It wouldn't have been so bad except every good Serb considered himself to be a poor host if his guest didn't drink at least five or so shots of the stuff. It's like you were trapped into drinking it.

One beer in the US is ussually either 16 fluid onces (a US pint) or 20 fluid onces (a British Pint). The 22 oz, 32 oz, and 40 oz beers are also seen but are less common then the regular pint. the reason for the difference between an American and a British pint is because, I believe, Parlement passed a law Standardizing a pint at 20 fluid onces sometime around 1780 and the Americans were trying to prove their Independence by deliberately making an American pint different from a British pint.Originally posted by Trajanus

okay here we go again...
okay ebeneezer, you probably walk around with the same beer for 4 hours.Hmmm... when we had the last week long poly meet, we usually started drinking around noon, and continued until way past midnight...
WIMP
Trajanus: 12 oz bottles... remember, I'm an American. We don't know a centiliter from a ****ing decihectagram.
Oerdin: Serbs don't drink Slivo because it TASTES GOOD. As my 82 year old grandfather says, "It kill all germs!"
To us, it is the BEAST.

If you ever bothered to make one of the Chicago meets, you would know how wrong you are.
A beer gets warm in just about 15 minutes... Since I drink crappy American Beer, it must be drunk cold, or it's even gets worse... So no beer in my hand lasts more than 10 or 12 minutes... And during the meets, we were drinking on a continual basis unless we were in a car... Do the math you puppy
