This thread is making me hungry. About Cheddar, I was in Paris last week - supposed cheese capital of the world. I went into a fromagerie but saw nothing interesting. I really wanted some cheddar and tried in broken French to ask for something -like- cheddar. My fav would have to be Jonathon Crisp Jalapeno pepper flavour, handcooked in peanut oil. The nicest crisps known to man (and they just started selling them at Harvey Nics no less
) 
We don't get the Chilli Kettle chips here yet, so have to make do with salsa flavour. Still nice though
