My my. You're a very demanding sort...
Here are some alternatives.
Tony Cheng's Mongolian Restaurant -- 6th & H (never tried this one, but has Mongolian barbecue, Gallery Place metro)
Bardia's New Orleans Cafe -- Adams Morgan @ 2412 18th street (small, maybe a wait, DanS recommended, about 10 minute walk from Woodley Park-Zoo metro, excellent brunch menu all day and good beignets)
Luna Grill & Diner @ 1301 Connecticut (small, maybe a wait, 1 block from DuPont metro south exit, brunch menu, WaPo is a little harsh on this fine establishment)Last edited by DanS; August 16, 2003, 21:02.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Bardia's is the farthest from the metro. About a 10 minute walk from Woodley Park-Zoo. Right across the bridge into Adams Morgan.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. You mean closest to the metro?
Well look, the meet is tommorow at noon, we have to come to a decision. If nobody objects, lets meet at Bardia's.
Dan, could you give directions from Woodley Park-Zoo to Bardia's?"I'm moving to the Left" - Lancer

How long is this thing going to be going on? Even if I take the earliest bus out of Newark, I'm still not going to get there till around 12:30.Dom Pedro II - 2nd and last Emperor of the Empire of Brazil (1831 - 1889).
I truly believe that America is the world's second chance. I only hope we get a third...

Yeh, let's say Bardia's. It's a non-desrcript place, so you'll have to look closely. Nobody will know if you accost a passerby with the name of the place. On the right hand side of Connecticut, when coming from the metro (if at the metro, when you get outside just ask for the way to Adams Morgan).
I'm f'ing tanked right now, so I'm going to bed. If you have any questions (or my response doesn't make any sense), just call on my cell in the am.

Little cranky today, Navy?Ask Ozzy, Prometheus or Cold Wizard how well I'm able to show up to meets
I'm just disappointed that I can't make it. It would be D.C. Poly meet number two for me....If you look around and think everyone else is an *******, you're the *******.
