In regards to "recognizing" everybody, the first one to arrive might want to (if you're meeting at a restaurant) tell the hostess that you're with the "Markos" party and that you are expecting others.

When I got together with a bunch of people from the SDMB we used the name "Cecil Adams", which is sort of a tradition there.

Well it's great day of joy for you then, your lifelong ambition of meeting me will be fufilled at last. Current plan is Jon Miller metros over to me, I drive Jon Miller to pick up Krazy Horse and his GF, then the 4 of us drive down to a metro stop and we arrive together.
