Correct first time Though the admins suck too, the system is just a joke.

"Of course safety is our number one priority"
Really? Then why did you cut track maintainance by 25% to give 3 large dividends? Why did you falsify repair records and blame the resulting disaster on terrorism? And why are you proposing a cut of 50% in rural maintainance?

      You fucking plum.

It's fantastic, I dont usually like heat but for once i'm going to make the best of it.

I work in an air conditioned office thankfully.

I finished work last night at 11pm (!!) , and as i was leaving remembered i was merely wearing a shirt, and had to get home some of the way on foot, thinking i'd freeze. Stepped outside into lovely, perfect, warm but slightly breezy air - perfect.

Reminds me of my times in God own country, America where the heat is lovely in the evening. Cant wait to go back there next year actually.

Nah, my gf is away this week, so no soup for you
The weather is quite hot in Deutshcland, but Stuttgart is especially hot : southern city located between hills. Best way to keep all the heath. Where I live (rather, where I browse 'Poly), in the suburbs out of the hills, the weather is much milder
Well, I've just been an the weather site, and they say it'll be 36C tomorrow. It seems it's beginnign to be cooler, so I guess it was 37-38C today.

Ted, you dumbass ... I make fun of my friends... if they are too thin-skinned, that's their fault. It's not as if I'm proposing we change our language to "freedomish" instead of "English".

I like temperatures between 60F and 75F. I tolerate temperatures between 45F and 80F. I don't like temps below 45F or above 80F. I hate temps below 20F and above 90. I dispise temps below -5F and above 95F. Typical for a NWern Minnesotan.

Oh yeah, you Brits need to overhaul your rail system.

Oh really? Gosh, we never thought of that!

In fact, despite looking up and down the ballot paper last election, there were no 'fix the trains' party. Hopefully next time

Actually we need to scrap (literally) our rail system and start again with something new that actually works. Trouble is that would be expensive.

This is turning into a real British summer. First it rains, then it is so hot everything breaks down and people start dropping from heatstroke, then it rains, then it gets so hot...... . All we need is a water shortage and it would be complete.

Last Jan when I was in Bombay, the temperature got down to a freezing 14'c ... I was still in my shorts and t-shirt, and everybody else was shivering, wearing jackets etc .. Locals were dying of the cold !!!!!

Its certainly is what your use to.

Last time I was in India, it was the hottest there since the 1940's .. Bombay was 38'c every day (which is pretty much what we're getting in London now), and Delhi was up in the 50'c.

The difference is, in India like many near/tropical area's the humidity makes the heat very very different.

In the UK, its so direct .. very unlike India.

As for the railways here in the UK... India has a better rail system .. its totally useless, and if it was scrapped tomorrow, im not convinced too many people would care much.

I would, and so would the millions of people who use it every day.

The reason the delays are such big news is because so many people rely on it. I mean, you'd have to be nuts to drive.

Basically the transport system in the UK blows

                                Motorways are completely congested.

Trains... there's just too much wrong with them. I mean if rails that can't stand 30C, or fallen leaves, or a light frost Not only that, it is so extremely overpriced compared to continental Europe or what i have seen from Amtrak (only done NY - Boston - Philly - NY), the trains are completely full, filthy and have no leg room.
