Getting on for 50C? I doubt it. You are factoring in humidity into your temperature. We don't do that.
Thanks, good night.
We are not wusses enough to do something like factor in humidity. We do have a heat index, which factors in humidity (lack of) wind etc., in an attempt to simulate how one feels, but he's not referring to it.
In the South and Southwest, it is VERY common for temperatures to break past 110F, and likely that at least in one week of the summer they will be above 100 (for the South) or 110 (Southwest) all week.
We know our friggin' temperature, damnit.
(IIRC, a few years ago some place in Arkansas or Texas went on some marathon streak of over 100F temperatures. Something like for weeks. I'm pretty sure Dallas was it, but I can't be sure )meet the new boss, same as the old boss

Wow twice in a week! I must be going conservative, I've been agreeing with Bods so much!
Ideal weather for me would be 16 degrees C, sunny and windy. In short, autumn!"I work in IT so I'd be buggered without a computer" - Words of wisdom from Provost Harrison

Yeah, odds are being slashed that next week is going to get the highest recorded temperature in the UK (37C I think). I spent yesterday on the water at some tinpot regatta and as a result am now burnt to a light crisp
Hottest I have ever had was 125F, but that was Death Valley around this time of year, so it is to be expected. Turn off your airconditioning they say to avoid overheating the car...
