My sister was in it, and I agree. Good work they do.

Well, what role is the Coast Guard playing in the Middle East right now?
Dom Pedro II - 2nd and last Emperor of the Empire of Brazil (1831 - 1889).

I truly believe that America is the world's second chance. I only hope we get a third...

I thought about joining the coast guard after getting out of the navy.

but I still wouldn't be able to be stationed in Las Vegas. So that deal was out.

As a college graduate, can I go right into the military as an officer? Always good to keep your options open.

PLus, you get apartment style barracks and a 6 week bootcamp where cell phones are allowed.
surely you are kidding about cell phones

I can't imagine how pussified the boot camps are. Even the navy boot camp was pretty weak. About halfway through mine we didn't have to carry rifles anymore (hey those things get heavy when the CC's?- I can't remember the term- make you hold them in the air in your outstretched arms for hours).

I wonder if they even do the gas chamber anymore. Though I can't say **** about that. I got out of that because I was on watch at the time

Another big reason I didn't join the coast guard is I disagree with the U.S. drug war policy.

I don't want to spend time busting drug runner.

But the recueing people thing is cool. Though some of those people are stupid and doing stupid things that caused them to need to be rescued .

Rifles? We don't need no steenkin rifles!

USN bootcamp is drifting more and more towards basic edujamaction rather than discipline, I'd say. About a week before graduation, we have what's Called "Battlestations" which is...f--king awesome. You spend all night running around the base going to station to station doing events based upon what you learned in Boot Camp. If you ask anyone who did it, they'll tell you "Mass Casulties" (Cole attack sim) was the most stressful and fun.

Right now Univeresial is building this monster os a shipsimulator that'll be where battlestations takes place. Firefighting, line landing, hurricanes, terrorist attack, missile strike, gun crew, etc. for 48 hrs. The "Ship" is going to be named after John Wayne. Hooyah!

"We don't gas people in the navy, this is the confidence chamber! It helps you build confidence that the gasmasks you're issued will protect you! Now take them off!"

*hack, ach, phhppt snort, blegh spew dribble. Christ.*
Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

Hey some of us were unlucky enough to be born red-green colour blind and thus are 'ineligible' to even apply to the Air Force.

Me, I think I prefer the NF these days - not too many rules, and you always know what the agenda is. There isn't any NEW agenda, is there, lads? I mean, what more do we have to talk about anyway?

                    Minute from last NF meeting:
"Fvck you, fvck you, fvck you, you're cool, fvck you..."

                    I'm out.
